On the same concept Pale Moon Project develop custom built Firefox for windows operating systems (windows 2000/2003/xp/vista/seven). Custom built Firefox is 1.25x as fast as Firefox.

Custom built Firefox is 100 % Firefox sourced, highly optimized for current processors. It uses less memory and supporting Firefox extensions, themes and personas. It also increases speed for script processing and page drawing.

In this custom built Firefox setup some features are disabled that are not used by many users. These disabled features are ActiveX and ActiveX scripting, Accessibility, Parental control, Crashreporter and automatic updater which doesn’t affect Firefox important features and its performance also.

I am using custom built Firefox from last week and realize that it is faster than Firefox and secure like Firefox.

Have a look at this animation, just by ‘Ctrl+Space’ to get the list of websites which have been included in the shortcuts and later hit the character, like by default if after the ‘Ctrl+Space’ you hit ‘t’ it launches Twitter, or you can use ‘Ctrl+Space+t’ directly.

Also, you can add new shortcuts by easily clicking on the Site Launcher tab in your Firefox, as shown below you can also manage these shortcuts using the same tab.

There are lots of websites which are blocked by administrator and you can’t access these websites from any system connected to that LAN. By using UltraSurf you can access any website whenever you want, no matter even that domain is blocked by your administrator. UltraSurf is a simple solution for unblocking any website on any server.

Here is a step by step procedure:

Download Ultra Surf from here.

Unzip and run Ultra Surf.exe. You will see this Window.

Next step is to set the Proxy (It is the proxy through which you are connected to Internet on LAN). Click on Options button, Options dialog box appears and in that dialog box click on Proxy Settings button.

After setting your proxy and port “Manually”, click OK and restart UltraSurf.

Now speed indicators will turn BLUE and Status will be changed to “Successfully connected to server!” as shown in the below screen shot.

Now open your Internet Explorer or Firefox to explore any website.

You can also download Firefox Add-on for your Firefox browser from here.

I hope you liked the above trick for accessing blocked websites. Give your reviews by commenting below.

Sometime in offices and colleges, we are not able to access our favorite sites (like orkut).Glype proxy is free web-script that allows anonymous browsing and bypassing network filter.

We all know very well just because of images and flash content, pages take lot of time to load. Glype Proxy seems to be a good tool to bypass proxy, and has few options with that it is possible to view pages without, images, flash, and scripts. It also provides option to disable or enable cookies. So if you want better result, click on remove images and flash, scripts. Although including cookies increase your browsing speed but I will say disable cookies in order to get safe browsing.

Where it is useful

To access banned site in office or colleges. For slower internet (low bandwidth) connections, it’s difficult to open any website quickly, at that time it is useful. Some time it might happen your internet speed is good, but still some websites taking time to upload because they include images and flash, so to open such websites it is useful.

Everyday while stumbling, I come across several posts on how to increase the speed of firefox? But what I practically observed is, all the tips don’t actually work.

Which will work and why?

Monzilla firefox is which has a feature ‘pipelining’ which really makes it faster than another browser. By default it is disabled, so enable it to get good results.

Enable pipelining and increase pipelining maxrequests

Like in processors pipelines concept is there to fast execution of instructions so processor ultimately execute programs fast. Same concept is used in firefox to get fast result.

Open your firefox browser, type about: config in address bar. Then you will get filter option, type network in filter .then find network.hhtp.pipelining option in below list and make it enable by changing its value false to true. Just below that second option is network.http.pipelining.maxrequests, change its value 4 to 10 to increase pipeline maximum

Which does not work and why?

PROXY SEVER

No doubt enabling proxy server will increase your browser’s performance and also allow you to access some restricted web sources.

On other hand any web resource you can access can collect personal information about you. They can monitor your reading interests, spy upon you, may deny accessing any information you might need. Spammers, hackers, advertising companies, other marketers (like junk mails for their products) making attack on your personal information, like your credit card number, or your bank account number etc., if you want to take risk make proxy severs value true and enjoy better speed of your firefox.

IPV6

Still we are using ipv4 then what is logic behind enabling ipv6? Will it still improve the firefox performance?

Tcp/ip request

By default you can send ten maximum requests in one second. If you are able to send more than ten requests in one second then make it true

There are lots of things. So before trying any tips and tricks on your browser, be sure they really work, and won’t affect you in some negative sense.

Boost your any browser with cache

Sometime it might happen that our internet speed is good but accessing information is slower. It depends upon browser. When first time I am using internet browser, at that time I noticed that what I upload it looks different than I uploaded. Now days I am using monzilla firefox, it feel good but i need to add more plug-ins. Here I want to explain one things that make your any browser fast .But make sure for these your RAM is sufficient

Increase the size of folder “temporary internet files”

Temporary file folder acts like cache for your browser. When you request for any page first it searches in this folder .If it is available then you can access it easily otherwise request goes to sever. As you increase its size, it will store maximum internet temporary files which increase your browser speed

First go to control panel, find internet option .then you will find setting option in general to increase the size of temporary internet files folder.
