• After system reboot Run %systemroot%\system32\oobe\msoobe.exe /a from start menu
• You will see window is already activated, so click ok.

When I was trying to install windows 7 over Windows xp (Dual operating system), Windows 7 keep asking for Primary IDE channel Drivers in the beginning of installation.

For Primary IDE Channels drivers I surfed many forums but didn’t find any right solution to get primary IDE Channel drivers. So I tried many options, after many trial and errors, I found one way to find primary IDE Channel drivers. Let’s see how it works:-

While surfing I downloaded one software (don’t buy) to update drivers. Using which I found the name of devices.

I found IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers (intel r 82801db ultra ata controller) then I searched it in device manager where I found Primay IDE Channel in IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers. So I download drivers for   intel r 82801db ultra ata controller and installed it.

After installing drivers , I tried to install windows 7 and finally it is installed on my machine successfully , without error of load drivers for Pirmary IDE Channel.

Installing themes is so simple. All you need to do is to download the theme and double click on them. It will installed and applied as your current theme automatically.

Don’t worry! DreamScene feature is easily added in Windows 7 through a simple program that modifies your registry and copies the necessary files to enable the DreamScene.

To Enable DreamScene, do the following steps:

1. First, download Windows7-DreamScene.exe file.
2. Run Windows7-DreamScene.exe file as Administrator [Right click on file and click on Run as administrator].
3. The installer will automatically copy the necessary files on to your computer and change your registry.
4. It will automatically install DreamScene and restart Explorer .
5. DreamScene will be working immediately after the install.
6. Right-click on any WMV or MPG video file to set it as your DreamScene desktop background video.
7. Your Wallpaper is now a working video.

[Note: To use DreamScene, you must have Windows Aero enabled.]

Tips:

• Smaller files work better, the smaller the video, the less lag time in the playback.
• Right click your desktop to “Pause” or “Play” your DreamScene wallpaper video.
• Try wallpaper videos with sound/audio.

To enable or unmute the DreamScene, in the notification area (system tray) of Windows Vista desktop, click on the audio icon (speaker) to open the Volume Mixer. Then in the Windows DreamScene section under the Applications. Click on the mute button (crossed speaker) below the volume slide bar (which is grayed out and disabled) to get audio up and running. Increase the volume on slide bar if needed.

How to Install Windows XP Mode in Windows 7 RC?

1. Download the Windows Virtual PC Beta and Windows XP Mode Beta from Microsoft Virtual PC page.
2. Install the Windows virtual PC beta by following the simple on screen procedure and reboot your machine to see Virtual Windows XP entry in your Start menu.
3. Now, Double-click on VirtualWindowsXP.msi package to start Virtual Windows XP wizard and click Next to continue.
4. Select the installation destination for the XP mode. By default it will select the right one. So, simply click Next button.
5. You will see the XP mode installation process. It may take few minutes to complete the installation.
6. Once you complete the installation, Virtual Windows XP starts for the first time. Here you will see Virtual Windows XP license agreement. Accept the license agreement and click Next to continue.
7. In the following window, you need to enter a password for the account. You cannot leave the password field blank. In case, if you don’t like to enter the password each time, you can check the option Remember credentials to store the password.
8. Next you need to configure Windows XP for automatic updates.
9. Once you are done with the configuration, Windows XP mode is ready to use.

In above code we create folder “Personal” with password “pwd123” as shown in red color. You can give any name and password by editing above file.

• When you run this bat file, it will create “Personal” folder automatically in the same location of bat file. Now you can put any data in this folder.
• Now run this bat file again for locking the folder and the default icon of folder is change to control panel icon.
• Now place this bat file to any secure location to keep your password safe.
• When you want to unlock this “Personal” folder, just run this bat file from same location as folder and it will ask for password which stored in bat file. After entering the correct password your folder is unlocked.

Steps to hide your computer Drives

• Click on Start and open Registry Editor Program by typing “regedit “command in Run dialog box option.

• In registry editor, just double click on each folder given in below path to get explorer folder.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer.

• Right click on explorer folder and select New -> Dword Value.

• Rename registry new value#1 to NoDrives .

• Double click on NoDrvies to edit (decimal) dword value.

• Here is simple game of numbers when we want to hide specific drive like for “A drive=1″, “B drive=2″, “C Drive=4″ “D Drive=8″ “E drive= 16″ and so on (making double of previous drive number).

• When we want to hide more than one drive then just add numbers of respected drives like I want to hide my “A, C and E drives (1+8+4=13)”, so I will give 13 decimal number.

This is very useful for me to keep my data secret while others are using my computer. How about you?
